Dear Nicole,

Früher war alles besser, I searched for the translation and it is translated as “back then, everything was better”. Nice song lyric, with Saltatio Moris as a singer. Thx a lot for the card! But I don’t really get the message from the picture, could you explain more?

Cheers,
Alexandria

“Dear Alexandria 🙂

Thank you for your nice message! I hope you are doing well.

The saying of the card is ” Everything was better in the good old days” It is to understand as a joke. People often say, this or that was better in the past…

For the cat in the picture, it was better to sleep above the old television.

The new television is to small to sleep above it. So the cat says “Everything was better in the good old days” (Maybe she wish the old days back, when televisions was bigger, like in the first picture. So that she can use the television as a place to sleep)

I don’t know Saltatio Moris. But I just googled him and this song ” Früher war alles besser” (Everything was better in the good old days” (Maybe she wish the old days back, when televisions was bigger, like in the first picture. So that she can use the television as a place to sleep)

I don’t know Saltatio Moris. But I just googled him and this song ” Früher war alles besser” (Everything was better before) It dont has anything to do with the card, I sent you.

” Früher war alles besser” (Everything was better before/ ” Everything was better in the good old days”) is just an phrase, which is used very often.

I really hope I could explain it well 🙂 If you have still any questions, just ask 🙂 I wish you all the Best!

Take care, Nicole”
